Hi, I'm Shavin—a writer, designer, and engineer who believes the best products solve real problems (and no, adding AI won’t magically do that either).

I started as a frontend engineer, then pivoted to design after realizing you can’t just make screens pretty or slap buttons around. You’ve gotta understand how people are struggling to make progress—and then show them a better way.

Now, I work with B2B SaaS teams and founders to create products people genuinely want, not just ones that impress at demos. My work spans health, education, and platform marketplaces, drawing on jobs-to-be-done thinking and design sprints.

I call Colombo, Sri Lanka home, where I spend my days designing, writing, and occasionally wondering if I'm overusing sticky notes.
